Shared vans (colectivos) depart from the South Terminal (Terminal del Sur) in Mérida toward Homún. Frequency varies — check schedules on site.

Take free road 180 west toward Mérida. Near Acanceh, take the turnoff toward Homún via road 18. Total: approximately 45 km.

💡 Pro tip

Visit Chichén Itzá in the morning (it opens at 8am and gets crowded by 11am) then head to Homún for lunch and the cenotes. Perfect full day in Yucatán.

Take highway 180D (toll road) toward Mérida. Exit at Chichén Itzá or continue to Mérida and take road 18 south toward Homún. Using the toll road cuts about 45 minutes off the trip.
